Pre-Apprentices
Those applying to become a Pre-Apprentice must meet the qualifications required to become a registered apprentice, which are, as per the BC Provincial Standards.
After 1600 hours of employment the Pre-apprentice is either released from employment or encouraged to continue in the trade as a First Year Apprentice.
- Wage Package
- 40% of Journeyperson’s rate
- 8% Vacation and STAT Holiday pay
- BC Medical – first 800 hours.
- Local 280 Health Benefit Plan – 801-1,600 hours
