YVR West Chevron Expansion
For its portion of work on The YVR West Chevron Expansion Project, Viaduct Sheet Metal used its 3D technology for the first time. This included the re-drawing of engineer's drawings into a 3D format. Overall, the project involved adding 36,000 square-metres of space to the existing Vancouver International Airport Terminal Building in Richmond. Eight new passenger elevators, six escalators, and five wheelchair lifts were added, as were eight new gates. The West Chevron expansion began in June 2005 and was wrapped up on time and on budget in May of 2007.
