Project Cost Administrator

Viaduct Sheet Metal is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Project Cost Administrator to join our Accounting/Administration team. This is a newly created position that plays a key role in supporting project setup, job costing, and accounts payable activities within our ERP system.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role is well suited for someone who takes initiative, learns new systems quickly, and values accuracy.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Set up new projects in the ERP system and upload approved project estimates
• Update project-specific estimates as required
• Maintain and update shared project logs and supporting documentation
• Generate purchase orders and subcontracts for suppliers and sub-trades
• Reconcile accounts payable related to projects as vendor invoices are received
• Enter project-related payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Enter manufacturing costs from work orders to the appropriate projects
• Scan and upload project work orders into designated project folders
• Track, enter, and maintain an up-to-date log of change requests and change orders for all projects

 

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of basic accounting concepts is considered an asset
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment

 

Salary: $50,000 – $60,000
