The Woodward’s District, located on the downtown Vancouver city block of West Hastings, Abbot, and Cordova Streets, is the result of a $330-million-dollar experimental re-development. The project included the construction of two new towers and the restoration of the original Woodward’s shopping centre, first built in 1903. Construction began after most of the city block was demolished in the Fall of 2006 and the project was completed in Fall of 2010. At approximately 1.1 million square feet in total, Viaduct Sheet Metal were proud to be involved in the silver-LEED®-certified Woodward’s rehabilitation project that was the needed catalyst to revitalize Vancouver’s Downtown East Side.
